Set of Two 2nd Class Type 111Aw Passenger Coaches with ROBO 2.0 Interior Lighting – PKP Intercity

A set of two 2nd class Type 111Aw passenger coaches in the PKP Intercity livery, assigned to the Wrocław depot, Epoch VI.

The models are factory-equipped with the innovative ROBO 2.0 interior lighting system and end-of-train lighting, making them ready for operation on both analogue and digital layouts.

The 111Aw coaches with forced-air heating represent a later development of the well-known Polish Y-type passenger coach family. Production began in the mid-1980s at HCP Poznań and Pafawag, while many coaches were later modernized during major overhauls carried out by ZNTK workshops. Distinctive features of the 111Aw include the rectangular air intake grille on the corridor side, the underframe-mounted heating and ventilation equipment, and the revised arrangement of underframe components. Unlike earlier versions, these coaches do not feature individual roof ventilators above each compartment.

This set faithfully reproduces two coaches assigned to the PKP Intercity Wrocław depot and operated during Epoch VI. Matching running numbers, markings, and revision dates make the set an ideal addition to modern PKP Intercity passenger trains.
