Wagons with air heating are a later development version of the Y type wagon family. Their production was started in the mid-1980s by the HCP factories in Poznań and Pafawag, and modernized by ZNTK as part of the repairs of the main wagons.

Wagons with air heating differ from the previous types in that they have a rectangular grille on the aisle side and a ventilation system with a heater on the chassis. The switch box was moved to the left side of the chassis when viewed from the corridor side, and a second box was added on the compartment side. These wagons do not have roof vents above each compartment.

A model of a wagon from the Warszawa Szczęśliwice station from the early 1990s. As it was a new wagon (a new design manufactured in the late 1980s), this wagon can be attached to an international train because it was approved for international traffic, e.g. issued by us Ost West or Hoek-Warszawa Express. This wagon can also be connected to the previously released Warsaw train (244310, 244610, 211120, 222310, 260610). It will be a perfect addition to the lineup from the beginning of the V era.
